Knitting On the Beach

I kept meaning to post this! There was something pretty magical about knitting my Woolgirl socks on the beach in Jamaica! Young Jamaican waiters kept coming up to me and asking, "Whatcha makin' mon?" I tried to explain about cold winters, sock clubs and the joy of merino ... in the end, they just brought me another rum punch. Ahhhhh...
Finished them on the plane back home.
What does everyone think of the new colorway??? I love the way it looks, but can't imagine wearing it. I'm way too uptight! My 4 and 8 year old sons went wild and they can't wait for them to be made - I believe if I make them smaller, I should have enough to made 2 pair (fingering weight)!
Oh finally for the contest;

I believe Hyla means bark
In water, or just above
Up to 5 inches.
