Excitement galore!

Yahoo...April starts this week. I was wondering where March went and then I remembered that I wished it away so that the Sock Club would start. I have only recently started socks with any kind of complications like cables etc., so I am hesitant. Thank goodness my excitement drowns out my fear of not being able to keep up. Also looking forward to meeting other sock fiends!

Excited

Hi everyone,

I just got back from Florida today after spending the week there for spring break. The weather was wonderful and warm.

I'm so excited about the sock club and can't wait to receive the first shipment. I am a sock yarn addict. I joined SAM5 to use up some of my stash but I have only finished one pair so far. I do have several on the needles.

Anxious?

You could say that. This is my first club of any kind since joining the knitting world last June. Strange I know, It hasnt even been a year yet! Honestly, I haven't even finished a pair of socks yet. A sock yes. A pair, no. But I love sock yarn and I can wait to get myself into the knitting mojo. I have been suffering from a small bout of depression so my knitting has suffered. SO this is just the thing to get me going again. So watch out socks, here I come!

Hi all

I'm eagerly anticipating the 1st shipment. I love Woolgirl because she carries thicker sock yarns, I wear clogs mostly and like the thicker socks as they work up faster. Instant gratification!

Blush Socks on Parade

Is everyone ready for the second round of the sock club to start next month? I'm sure Jen has lots of fun stuff in store for all of us. :) Since I had knit up one and a half Blush socks from the February kit it seemed like a good idea to get them finished up before April. The color works good for spring too, right?

Some mods were down sizing the foot to 64 stitches because it was coming out way to wide. After the heel was knit I added in 8 stitches to knit the leg. Changed the TS to a front cross just because and the bobbles were left off since most of my socks are worn in boots. Since this was the first toe up I've done the foot come out a tiny bit too long....oops. :) The cables weren't hard to do once you get past the setup rounds. They make for a nicely fitted sock. :)

A Feast of Woolgirl

After receiving the first Seven Deadly Spins kits that was geared around Gluttony, I decided to snap a couple of photos for my interpretation featuring my feast of 3 out of the 4 Sock Club kits that I completed...rather than all of my boring sock pair photos.

My Coke glass is filled with the Waterfall Socks, my salad bowl is showing off my Spruce Sprigs socks, and my entre is the Irish Dream socks. And to top it all off, my Cosmopolitan is made with my skein of Zen Garden that will eventually be knit into my Blush socks.

Can't wait to see what the next round holds in story. Jenn, you are the best!

Irished Dreams

A little seasonal greeting to everyone. I couldn't help but notice that the Bailey's Irish Creme bottle coordinated so well with the socks. Now my feet and my insides are warm and happy. Cheers and Happy St Patrick's day a bit early!
