Socks in Trees

Holidays are great, especially when they give you lots of time to knit! I'm still benefiting from being young enough that my mother-in-law does all the cooking on Thanksgiving. The in-laws also have a pretty backyard with lots of trees to take sock pictures. They think I'm a bit crazy, but they don't tease me about it too much.
Here's sock number one progress on Sunday. I just kitchenered the toe on this sock today, but can't take a good picture in my dark apartment. The yarn stripped nicely around the leg but I had some pooling on the foot. My stitch gauge is a bit off which may have caused that. Still a very pretty sock. :)

Froggie Girl, I LOVE your sock! Did you follow the pattern as written? It looks a little different to me, but it could just be the picture (or my eyes!) Either way, great job. Cindy

Thanks you guys! I have been following the Irish Dreams pattern. Those little knots give me a bit of trouble but they look great. I really like the fit of my completed sock. Wish I had more days off to get the second one done.

Wow, the yarn is even better looking when it's knit up like that! Thanks for the photo. I've been wishing to see a sock knit with this yarn!
