A Feast of Woolgirl

After receiving the first Seven Deadly Spins kits that was geared around Gluttony, I decided to snap a couple of photos for my interpretation featuring my feast of 3 out of the 4 Sock Club kits that I completed...rather than all of my boring sock pair photos.



My Coke glass is filled with the Waterfall Socks, my salad bowl is showing off my Spruce Sprigs socks, and my entre is the Irish Dream socks. And to top it all off, my Cosmopolitan is made with my skein of Zen Garden that will eventually be knit into my Blush socks.



Can't wait to see what the next round holds in story. Jenn, you are the best!

Irished Dreams

A little seasonal greeting to everyone. I couldn't help but notice that the Bailey's Irish Creme bottle coordinated so well with the socks. Now my feet and my insides are warm and happy. Cheers and Happy St Patrick's day a bit early!

Spruce in the Snow

I was hoping the snow would stick around so my spruce sprigs could get their glamor shot.

My socks have a twisted rib cuff instead of the ruffle cuff in the pattern. Other than that I didn't make any changes. Used a 1 1/2 sized needle so that the thin yarn would knit up a bit faster.

This was the first time I knit with Mohair and only my second short row heel. Very pleased with how they turned out. There are some modeled shots on my blog if you prefer to see socks on feet.

Valentine socks!

ok. So this isn't TECHNICALLY the Woolgirl Sock Club, but it's one of her fabulous yarns from a fabulous kit. It's from the Charlie Brown Valentine kit.

Finished just in time for the next package! My Christmas tree is long gone so I had to settle for a photo on the pot rack :)

More November Socks done

I'm happy to finally have these on my feet because it seemed like the second sock was half done for quite a while. Finished then up on a Sunday and wore then to work the next day. One of my co-workers immediately exclaimed, "What beautiful colors, I love them!"

You can see the pooling but as they say, if you don't want socks that pool, knit with solid colors. Knitting those knots was tricky, but don't they look great when you're done. Like little flowers on Irish hills. :)

I'm trying to get some knitting done on the December shipment before this months shows up. The leg was almost complete and some sort of needle blow out occurred. (The sock was in my purse at the time) All I know is that I pulled it back out and half of my DPN's were missing and yarn overs were waving in the breeze. It looks fixable if I rip back to the 3 rows of knit and purl. Cross your fingers for me!
