I then divided 26 stitches for the instep and 24 for the heel. After doing the heel I transfered 1 stitch back to the needle that is holding the sole stitches and continued with the FIRST lace pattern instead of the second which made sense since I was back to my original 25 stitches. Everything is looking great so far and matching up and it fits which is the most important part!CurlyBrunettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15159606809073226536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905790853483853293.post-89730742457831221822007-09-22T01:11:00.000-07:002007-09-22T01:11:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17534429999325119249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905790853483853293.post-11290399840881718522007-09-21T14:44:00.000-07:002007-09-21T14:44:00.000-07:00RE: CurlyBrunetteI am using plain old sock needles...RE: CurlyBrunette

I am using plain old sock needles. I don't have a magic loop in that size, so I'm using a size 1 ml to hold the non-worked sock. I do prefer the ML, though!!! It's really the way to go.Ranihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09574603384659982547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905790853483853293.post-31537727029025342202007-09-21T12:20:00.000-07:002007-09-21T12:20:00.000-07:00Gorgeous. I initially worked down to almost the part of starting the heel flap, on my 12" (US 3)addis - just knitting around, and it looked HUGE - so I went back to the US 3, regular 40" ML method.
Curlybrunette - did you just start your heel flap on the first 25 stitches or did you follow the patt instructions to set up the heel flap?Knitting Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01766763313844430914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905790853483853293.post-62667518967199881562007-09-21T01:45:00.000-07:002007-09-21T01:45:00.000-07:00Its funny about the needle size because I ALWAYS g...Its funny about the needle size because I ALWAYS go down to the smallest needle but this time (for fear of not having enough yarn) I stuck with using the size 3's (Im using Magic loop) and the yarn is behaving like a freakin' dream! I have to get me more of this stuff when Jen gets it in the shop. I have never fell in love with a yarn so quickly. I am hoping it stands up to a good washing machine! LOL
Rani, your sock(s) look just like mine or I should say my ONE sock looks just like both of yours! Are you doing 2 on ONE circ or is that 2 circs? I have noticed that I didnt have to change the lace pattern repeat for the instep like they suggested and I am not sure if its because I used the short row heel or if its because I am using the ML method. Why is that Jen? Its looking fine so far and matching up perfectly and the instep is being worked on 25 sts just like before the heel (I had the sides divided 25 and 25.) OK enough commenting for one day!CurlyBrunettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15159606809073226536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905790853483853293.post-15626828010142328202007-09-20T20:50:00.000-07:002007-09-20T20:50:00.000-07:00I really like the way that they look. I have to start over on mine because they are to big so I will have to go down a needle size to a 2 and hopefully that will be better.Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442327057820050822noreply@blogger.com
